Field Network Conference Call on May 3rd

Recap from the call:

John Plug discussed Fishers of Men event in Indy to gauge interest level in a training event there in 2011.

Chris Van Brocklin shared his experiences at REM training events, sharing the NMLB model as part of an ISI workshop and managing the 4200 Red Zone conference. Chris indicated that having a MIM Bookstore is not a money maker but is beneficial in that it attracts men so that you can make the contact. Chris has created a Master REM presentation and then cherry-picks the slides that will have maximum impact based on where and when and how he is doing the training event. He always interjects the 10-minute model overview on video by Brett Clemmer. Follow up for all his contacts in paramount. Distribution of the free EQMIM devo helps generate interest as well.

Dave Enslow discussed strategy for a men’s seminar at this church with church associate pastors and leaders co-sharing the presentations – sends a positive message to the men and helps keep things “interesting”. Dads that Make a Difference is timed to coincide with Father’s Day next month.

Al will explore setting up a Group Facebook account for MIM Field Network. It will be closed to ONLY field network men and MIM staffers. This will be used vs. current blog. Stay tuned. Some men on the call indicated that they do not have Facebook accounts but understood the ease/value of this communications strategy.

Al provided on update on new MIM 4.0 Website and how field network would be supported. See email request asking to validate the info that will be loaded onto the website. Each field trainer was asked to submit 1 or 2 sentences about themselves and/or their ministry along with their picture.

Al provided update on customized NMLB model cards. Need 15 to move forward – Al is following up on non respondents.

Foam boards with MIM creative/banners (remember the booth at the annual summit?) will be available upon request for your events - these are independent of what we use on the booth. They can be table top displays as long as you have an easel or stand for their display.

Discussion about self-paced training and how field trainers can use this in their community. DVD pre-purchase price is still available and deeply discounted for your consideration.

Post Summit Conference Call

For those of you who were unable to attend the Annual Summit in late January, we conducted a conference call on 2/18 to "catch you up". Be sure to review the power point on the 2010 Field Network Plan - especially the 3 tiers of leadership training and the ability to position yourself as a seminar "facilitator" in exchange for an honoraria. There are new opportunities to earn revenue dollars that may further your ministerial efforts! Additionally, the 2010 Ministry Plan template (your vision, your mission, your goals and objectives) are now due so please complete and return to us at Man in the Mirror so we can support your efforts appropriately.

2010 Field Network Plan for Existing Field Associates and Trainers

Significant enhancements were made to the Field Network plan for 2010 including 3 tiers of Leadership Training, honoraria opportunities for "you teach it" seminars and richer commission structures to help you sustain your ministerial efforts. The plan was emailed to field trainers on 12/17/09 and was reviewed at a high level when the field network men on January 28th (pre-Summit).

2010 Minstry Plan Template

The 2010 Ministry Plan template was designed to help Field Trainers on the Network capture their vision and mission statements and think through the objectives, goals and strategies for 2010. If you want to be effective (and accountable) then you need a plan you can stick to. Otherwise, expect distractions, roadblocks and dead-ends as the enemy thwarts your Kingdom-oriented efforts. The 2010 Ministry Plan template was sent to Field Trainers on 12/28/09. Email allenio@maninthemirror.org if you need another copy.
